You’ll probably remember NSIF and Professor Geoffrey Raisman from the Panorama documentary back in October 2014 where for the first time ever a paralysed man called Darek Fidyka took steps after groundbreaking cell transplantation into his spinal cord. We were very lucky to also get to meet Prof Raisman answering lots of questions for us.
Cure Girls really want to back Prof Raisman and NSIF as it is imperative that in order to carry on further trials ten million pounds needs to be raised. People seem to think.. ‘oh there is a CURE now’ but unfortunately this simply isn’t the case. This is just the BEGINNING as there are many different types and levels of spinal cord injury. It’s amazing what has been done so far… I urge everyone who is affected by spinal cord injury or has a spinal cord injury to just do one important thing.. and that is DONATE.
